Letter to Radio Maria on May 16, 2009:
"Dear Priest, I am writing to thank you for your educational work on the Law of the Lord.
I learned a lot from your program, and I tried to share that knowledge with as many people as possible
. Now when someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, I simply remind him
that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it is an abomination.
End of discussion.
But I need your advice about some other specific laws and how to apply.
- I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as provided for in Exodus 21:7. What do you think could be
a fair sales price?
- When I give focus to a bull on the altar of sacrifice, I know from the Scriptures that this produces a pleasant aroma
the nostrils of the Lord (Leviticus 1.9). The problem is with my neighbors.
Those blasphemous claim that the odor is not pleasing to them. I have to strike him then?
- I know I can have sex with a woman when she is menstruating (Leviticus 15:19-24).
the problem is: how do you ask them if the have or not? Many women are capable of
offense.
- Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female as long as
are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend says that it is lawful to Mexicans, but not
with the French. Is it true? And if so, why can not I own Canadians?
- I have a neighbor who insists on working on Saturdays. Exodus 35:2 clearly says that
should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him?
- A friend of mine is convinced that though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 11:10), it is less
homosexuality. I disagree. Can you settle this?
- Leviticus 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have defective eyesight. I must confess that
use reading glasses. Does my vision have to be a 10 / 10
or is there some wiggle room here?
- Many of my male friends shave their hair, including those close to temples, even though
this is expressly forbidden by the Bible (Leviticus 19:27). In what way should be
put to death?
- In Leviticus 11:6-8 is that touching the skin of dead pig makes me unclean. 'S why
that football goalies use gloves?
- My uncle has a farm, went against because Leviticus 19:19 by planting two different types
crops in the same area, even his wife has failed because it uses the same pitch
wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton / polyester blend).
- In addition to his uncle swears it all go. It 'absolutely necessary that all gatherings
men of the city to stone him as prescribed by the scriptures? I could not simply
him on fire while sleeping nicely as Leviticus 20:14 suggest for people who
lie with relatives?
I know that you certainly understand this question, so you will not be hard to help me in
these questions that I posed.
I take this opportunity to say hello cordially in the certainty of the immutability of Scripture.
Devoutly His.
