third album for Stone Sour. Abandoned the idea of \u200b\u200bparallel project by the mother of the band Slipknot, Corey Taylor and Jim Root churn out the third album that will surely strengthen and increase the fame of the quintet. The disc Previous Come What (ever) May had more than one person shouting to the miracle of the abundance of ideas that the group had worked on the album (who was not in love with the beautiful Through Glass?). From the first disc, Corey Taylor and company had immediately made clear the line that the band wanted to follow: a mixture of violence Slipknot and rock in general. The pieces typically violent SLIPKNOT are present in virtually all STONE SOUR album but the album in question has faced no uncertain terms that probably more mature and more tending to the business of the band for the presence of a fair number of ballads. Obviously the disk is well represented by the voice Corey Taylor, absolutely one of the greatest contemporary singers, from guitars to Jim Root and Josh Rand Shawn Economaki and down and the phenomenon of Roy Mayorga on drums. AUDIO Secrecy, we are faced with a hard certainly different from the previous two: it is introduced by a piano intro (which is named after the album) that explodes with MISSION STATEMENT, STONE SOUR at typical anthem that will become a new classic of the band continue with DIGITAL (DID YOU TELL), which maintains the high notes already heard but stinks of despite the good performance of front man and then go to singolone Say You'll Haunt Me which softens a little the atmosphere typical metal, the first two tracks, a rock ballad by the powerful voice of metallic COREY TAYLOR. Here we come to the beautiful DYING, another powerful ballad and class, featuring a nice solo (perhaps one of the most beautiful of the disc) and LET'S BE HONEST, rockettone an intermission, which tends to a crescendo with a furious COREY TAYLOR that releases the full power of her voice. UNFINISHED continues the speech dictated by the previous track and do not put anything new (the glories of Come What (ever) May seem to leave the band .... that too is basking in the laurels?). We're here to hesitate, very easy listening but with a compelling melody for me .... beautiful. NYLON 6 / 6 turn on the adrenaline fades immediately with ballads that in the long MIRACLES 's a bit dull and flat. PIECES is a rockettone grunge, which anticipates the hardest track on the disc, The Bitter End, a trip supported by a metal riff devastating ballad that anticipates the Imperfect and points to the great distance of ALICE IN CHAINS NUTSHELL. The final track, Threadbare, concludes the disc in the best way, is perhaps the most beautiful piece of the entire lot and features the best performance of front man that the best.
me start by saying that's a lot like STONE SOUR and my review is biased. The album is certainly characterized by light and shadow and does not bring any innovations but surely reinforces what the band has done in the past. We are still faced with STONE SOUR ........... a great band and this is a great record that grows inside you ...... play after play is obviously what has happened to me .. ....... A hard
