Snakes for the Divine
The HIGH ON FIRE SNAKES FOR THE DIVINE have developed, in effect , their hard disk and more direct. The themes of the disc facing the usual epic and mythological subjects; typical approach of the bands belonging to a certain type of metal. The sound is a mix of thrash metal, doom and a sound and fast dirt typically MOTORHEAD. The singer / guitarist Matt Pike, in his singing, sometimes reminds TOM ARAYA of SLAYER and Lemmy of Motorhead and his guitar solos and technical riffs creates splits rocks that do not allow the listener pause. A powerful and well done album that shows the maturity of the group. The opening track, which gives its name to the disc, SNAKES FOR THE DIVINE, starts with a riff reminiscent of the most beautiful album and IRON MAIDEN well made and continues with a devastating rhythm section, you get the powerful FROST HAMMER, typically track trash, and then you get to the piece more doom / stoner album, BASTARD SAMURAI, which starts slow and then explode and decadent, and NECK GHOST FIRE & FLOOD Plague are lined trash / death that is partially diluted and separated by PATH, the only instrumental track of the album. Another track doom / trash is DARK HOW WE PRAY that lasts less than 8 minutes (the longest of the album) and part with one of the most beautiful solos SNAKES FOR THE DIVINE. The album ends with the brutal HOLY FLAMES OF THE FIRE spitter. A hard extreme and technical characterized by a devastating rhythm section and a frontman, with considerable talents and abilities on guitar, whose voice seems to be the modern version of that immortal Lemmy.
